Economists at the Organization for International Cooperation and Development
report in a new paper that the U.S. corporate tax rate is now 50 percent higher
than the OECD average. The group studied the effects of various types of taxes
on the economic growth of developed nations within the OECD and found that "corporate
taxes are found to be most harmful for growth, followed by personal income taxes,

The US trade deficit unexpectedly shrank in June as a weak dollar stoked exports,
offsetting record crude oil imports and a politically sensitive growing gap
with China, official data showed Tuesday. The June trade deficit shrank a hefty
