Muslim demographics and the future of western civilization

60 years after the end of the World War II the Western civilization seems to have lost the will to fight. Regardless of the accusations of pacifists regarding wars such as in Afghanistan and in Iraq, the majority of Westerners have failed to understand the existential threat Islam represents.

Why the confusion?

First of all the number of people who are ignorant of the Bible and the biblical worldview is alarmingly great. Even Christians who have read the Bible are not necessarily the astute students one would expect a disciple of Christ to be. This is easy to understand. With prosperity and peace comes a certain lifestyle. People began to spend the majority of their time busy with their private lives. Family life, education, career and all other activities characteristic of a prosperous society, consume most of the time the average person has available to them.  read more..

"The Amsterdam appeals court has ordered the prosecution of member of parliament Geert Wilders for inciting hatred and discrimination, based on comments by him in various media on Muslims and their beliefs". Police beats protesters brutally in Bulgaria, 1 dead.

SOFIA, Bulgaria -- January 15, 2009 Bulgarian police beat brutally and later detained 158 people at a protest organized by university students, environmentalists and maternal organizations. Tensions have risen in Bulgaria since the beginning of the latest energy crisis caused by Russia's dispute with Ukraine. Bulgaria is one of the countries most dependent on energy from Russia. Diplomatic efforts haven't produced any results and electricity rationing has been enforced by the government.  read more..

On May 7, in the hall of the Information Center of the European Union in Sofia a Round Table was held on the topic: "Requirements for the respect of human rights in the development policies" The event is a part of the opening of the film festival for human rights "One World", which was founded 10 years ago by the Czech president Vazlav Havel. The festival is held for the first time in Bulgaria from 7th to 11th May.  read more..
