WASHINGTON, D.C -- Belarusian Christian attorneys Sergey Lukanin and Sergey and Dina Shavtchovy took part in the 5th World Meeting of Christian Lawyers «Advocates International», which took place from the 6th to the 12th of October in Washington, DC. Around 1,500 delegates from 150 nations took part in the worldwide gathering aimed at education and equipping Christian legal professionals with practical knowledge related to justice issues and freedom of religion.

Recent report from New Life Church in Minsk, Belarus tells us that: "Throughout the whole week these Christian lawyers were working hard, took place in different seminars, during which there was opportunity to share the experience and to get acquainted closer with the colleagues.

The opportunity was given to Sergey Lukanin to have a speech on how Belarusian believers were standing for their rights. He shared his experience on holding the Campaign «Protecting the rights of freedom of conscience», during which more than 50,000 signs were gathered for changing religious Belarusian legislation. There were represented 7 regional structures during the Worldwide meeting: Christian lawyers of North America, South America, Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania. There were also congressmen from USA, former United States Attorney General and other high officials from different nations.”
