30 Days of Power Principles: # 17 Purge the seeds

All of us want to see a good harvest in our lives. All of us want to succeed in the mission Jesus has for each one of us. There are two things we need to do to make sure this happens: we must purge the seeds and we must pull out the weeds.

Jesus taught the principle of the seed many times.

"The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seeds on the ground.” [Mark 4:26]

Also, there is the law of reproduction from Genesis 1.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. Gen. 1:11 (KJVS)

And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Gen. 1:12 (KJVS)

Evil begets evil. Grace begets grace. We must purge the seed, so it can produce after its own kind. Our doctrine, ideas and works all represent seeds. What we spread is what will grow. It amazes me how evil reproduces itself through the generations. Why not have righteousness reproduce itself and become multiplied?

When we purge the seed, the harvest will be great! Confused Christians beget confused Christians. Abusive fathers abuse and beget abusive children. Ant-semites beget anti-semites. Racists beget racists. Like it or not, more things are transfered from one generation to the next by imitation than anything else.

We must purge the seeds in order to change the harvest.
